Driver Hiring Manager (DHM):
We are looking for a high-urgency, sales-minded Driver Hiring Manager who thrives on follow-up, closing, and results—while maintaining strong discernment and pride in the quality of their hires. This role is ideal for someone who treats recruiting like sales: moves quickly and takes full ownership of their pipeline and outcomes.
The right person balances hunter mentality with sound judgment. Speed matters – but quality, expectation-setting, and retention matter more.
Schedule
- Full time: Monday-Friday, 7am – 4:30pm
- Location: Nussbaum Office 19336 N 1425 E Rd Hudson IL 61748

Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Source, screen, and close qualified driver candidates
- Conduct phone-based interviews focused on Nussbaum compatibility, job fit, and expectations
- Build rapport quickly and guide candidates through the hiring process
- Set clear pay, schedule, and job expectations from the first conversation
You will spend a large portion of your day on the phone. This role favors energy, urgency, and persistence.

Ownership, Workflow & Prioritization
This role requires creating and managing your own workflow.
Once you are fully trained, each day will be unscripted. Many leads will come directly to you, but some will need to be sourced by you. Success depends on your ability to actively build and prioritize your day – deciding who to call, who to follow up with, and where to spend your time for the greatest impact. A strong DHM is self-directed, disciplined, and constantly evaluating their pipeline to determine the next best action.
