As the Service Manager for the Channahon Shop, you will be responsible for supervising the service advisor and shop technicians, ensuring quality and communication within the shop. You will be required to keep tabs on the Drivers Lounge, Shop Equipment, and Yard, working with the maintenance team to keep the shop in a safe and productive environment. This position requires the ability to handle a multitude of different tasks ranging from Shop Forman duties, assisting the IT department when requested, and implementing ideas and procedures provided by the Hudson Shop. Other details include

  • Create goals for efficiency and quality on the shop floor as well as ensure affective use of Shop Planner and TMT in the office.
  • Use touchpoints to ensure communication with techs and office personnel.
  • Complete Tech SRT’s -Watching for inaccurate labor times and implementing training where assistance is needed.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution among shop personnel; document and report to HR as needed.
  • Strengthen service relationships between Drivers and Shop Personal in Channahon.
  • Ensure Drivers amenity requests are being heard and responded to.
  • Perform Payroll, Bonus increases, Wage increases.
  • Ensure shop compliance with all Nussbaum safety policies.
  • Create and maintain Tech Laptops, Diagnostic Laptops and Software, Tech and Office personal Accounts.
  • Gather and provide information to assist techs on Diagnostics and New Equipment.
  • Ensure Communication between the shop floor and shop office is continuous and effective.

Schedule

  • Full time: Monday-Friday, 7am – 4:30pm.
  • Location: Channahon Shop – 24125 West Riverside Dr. Channahon, IL 60410
