HUDSON, IL – Nussbaum Transportation Services has received a Sustainability Award from Transtex, an industry leader in aerodynamic trailer solutions. Together, the two organizations have reduced carbon emissions by 18,235 metric tons and saved 1.7 million gallons of fuel (over $6 million value). Nussbaum currently employs the EDGE Elite Aero system by Transtex, featuring TopKit+ rear trailer tails, EDGE E-2330T trailer skirts, and aerodynamic mud flaps.
“This award recognizes Nussbaum’s positive contribution to reducing harmful carbon emissions through aerodynamics,” said Ashley Schimmel, Director of Sales at Transtex. “It quantifies Nussbaum’s environmental impact in both fuel savings and sustainability by reducing trailer drag.”
