Job Description
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Month-end financials preparation
- Year-end audit preparation
- Financial analysis and KPI generation for key decision makers
- Balance sheet account reconciliations
- Licensing/permitting for trucks and trailers
- Accounting system integration with other software (such as TMW to Great Plains or TMT to Great Plains)
- Accounts payable administration
- Equipment purchasing and sales transaction support
Secondary Job Responsibilities (may be trained for cross-support):
- Rates, billing, and accounts receivable tasks
- Equipment financing documentation
- Bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, treasury management
- ESOP administration support
- 401k administration support
- Payroll support – weekly journal entries, per diem program, etc.
- Accounting vendor management (I-Pass, EFS fuel cards, etc.)
- Benchmarking data compilation
- Preparation for various insurance premium audits
Job Requirements
- Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance OR 2 years of relevant work experience
- Self-motivated and pursuing personal and professional growth
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills – can work well with others, listen, give/receive feedback
- Knowledge of accounting methods, principles, and procedures
- Understanding of/willing to learn accounting software applications
