Now, for those job details: Hudson Maintenance Manager
As the Maintenance Manager for our Hudson shop, you are responsible for supervising mid-level managers, developing employees, and overseeing maintenance practices/compliance. You will also work closely with other department leaders to improve the shop’s effectiveness in serving our drivers. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to engage employees and a desire to see them grow and succeed.
Personnel Responsibilities
- Supervise other Hudson Shop managers.
- Collaborate with department leaders to improve shop processes, resource utilization, communication, and the overall driver experience.
- Implement career development plans for technicians and shop office staff (E.g., residual training and the MasterTech program).
- Develop and implement SRTs (standard repair times) in the MasterTech program to effectively measure technician performance.
- Facilitate conflict resolution among shop personnel; document and report to HR as needed.
- Oversee the hiring process and ensure adequate staffing for all shop positions.
- Ensure smooth onboarding for new shop employees.
- Strengthen communication between the shop, operations, and drivers.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships (Truck Centers, BestOne, Gerber, Lexington Truck & Trailers, etc.).
Shop Oversight Responsibilities
- Ensure shop compliance with all Nussbaum safety policies.
- Ensure compliance with OEM policies regarding safety, documentation, warranty, etc.
- Monitor/ensure the execution of Nussbaum’s preventative maintenance strategies.
- Oil samples, maintenance schedules, inspections, etc.
- Track, measure, and report on Shop KPIs; evaluate progress toward goals.
- Stay abreast of maintenance best practices; research and implement new ideas to improve our effectiveness.
- Track and maintain sufficient inventory levels at Hudson facilities to keep our equipment moving with adequate inventory turns.
Schedule
- Full time: Monday-Friday, 7am – 4:30pm.
- Location: Corporate Offices – 19336 N 1425 East Rd., Hudson IL.
