Nussbaum is looking for a strong customer service-oriented person to maintain our fleet of trailers in our local shop.  We are looking for someone who will thrive in a fast-paced, positive work environment and possess strong communication skills as well as an understanding of driver needs.

  • Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Nussbaum shop and warranty standards.
  • Maintain fleet through Preventative Maintenance
  • Heavy electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Brake and Wheel-end repairs
  • Suspension diagnosing and repair work
  • Light to heavy body repair
  • Installation and servicing of third-party add-ons
  • Accurately log and track your work within maintenance software.
  • Document/write diagnostic steps and corrective actions implemented
  • Willingness to continually learn as equipment technologies change.

Schedule

  • Full-time Positions
  • Current Shifts
    • Monday through Friday 6am-2:30pm
    • Sunday through Wednesday 2-12:30am
    • Tuesday through Friday 2-12:30am
    • Sunday through Wednesday 6-4:30pm
    • Wednesday through Saturday 6-4:30pm
  • Shift availability based on company needs at the time of hire
  • Differential in place for 2nd shift
  • Location: Corporate Offices – 19336 N. 1425 East Rd., Hudson, IL 61748

Job Requirements

  • Working knowledge of diesel equipment maintenance and repair
  • Basic typing and computer skills
  • Basic understanding of the electrical systems
  • Able to navigate resource material and schematics online

Experience & Qualifications (Preferred but not required)

  • Brake and DOT Certifications
  • 1 – 2 years of mechanical experience or completion of a tech program
  • Welding certificate or 6-months of experience
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License
  • Basic toolkit and toolbox
