It’s a new chapter for maintenance at Nussbaum! Now spread across two buildings instead of one, each team has the space to optimize their workflow. This means faster service (less downtime) for active drivers and more capacity to prep new equipment or repair damaged trucks/trailers. With enough square footage to service a 1,000-truck fleet, Nussbaum is ready for growth in the coming years.

Most notably, we’ve expanded our repair capabilities and brought a substantial portion of work in-house—i.e., less cost, more quality control, and quicker turnaround times. Our new capabilities include:

Trailer Repair

We now handle most trailer damage repairs in-house, resulting in a 2x faster turnaround and estimated 50% savings per repair job. Our dedicated team can rebuild a trailer from the ground up! Here’s a peak behind the scenes:

Body Shop

A new adventure for Nussbaum! Neil Riisburg, our new Body Shop Technician, paints and repairs most truck body panels at roughly 2/3 the cost of outsourcing, plus a 2x faster turnaround! Neil has over 25 years of experience in collision repair, including 17 in the heavy-duty commercial sector. We’re excited to watch this team grow! Here’s a peak into what he’s been working on:

Bonus – why waste all that roof space?

The new shop is almost entirely powered by a 160kw solar array, projected to save $1.2 million in utility bills and 4,700 metric tons of CO2 over the next 30 years.
