We’re expanding our team of Diesel Technicians by adding a Body Technician at our new shop in Hudson, IL! In this role, you will perform body repairs on semi-trucks and possibly some trailers. You’ll need a safety-first mindset, strong organizational skills, and ideally 1+ years of experience as a heavy-duty collision repair technician. We need working equipment ready to go at all times, so this role is critical to Nussbaum’s success! Your duties include:
- Managing tractor painted parts inventory
- Repairing and painting parts
- Making small to medium repairs to tractors
- Write estimates when needed on equipment you are working on
- Verify and inspect work performed by other shops while the tractor was out on the road
- Recondition trucks for sale
- Follow safe work practices
- Maintain an organized, stocked, and clean work area
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Schedule
- Full-time position: hiring for 1st
- Shift availability based on company needs at the time of hire.
- Location: 19336 N 1425 E Rd. Hudson IL 61748.

Job Requirements

- Experience working on the Freightliner Cascadia platform.
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other automotive systems.
- Able to navigate online resource material and recommended practices.

- Experience with cab & sheet metal repair, composite repair, bonding, surface preparation, fiberglass repair, alignment, and welding
- Basic toolkit and toolbox. (DA sander, grinder, basic hand tools, sockets, wrenches and impact gun)
Qualifications (Preferred but not required)
- 1+ Years experience working in heavy duty collision industry
- Ability to paint and perform heavy duty collision repair
- Welding certificate or 1+ year of experience
- PPG Painting Certified.
