6 Years as a Best Fleet to Drive For
For the 6th year in a row, Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) and CarriersEdge have named Nussbaum one of the top 20, 2020 Best Fleets to Drive For. Congratulations to our Nussbaum Family! This award does not target one specific department – it is for the drivers, the maintenance staff, and the office staff as a unit, working together to make Nussbaum a stand-out place. We could not receive an honorable recognition like this without noting the exact reason we are one of the 2020 Best Fleets to Drive For – the outstanding, purpose-driven people that make up Nussbaum Transportation.
Being a Best Fleet to Drive For was a feat the first time, and attaining it each additional year for six years, has grown us in supreme drivers, distinctive relationships, and being an employer that people are proud to represent.
According to CarriersEdge and the TCA, to be considered for the Best Fleets program, companies operating ten or more trucks had to receive a nomination from at least one of their company drivers or owner-operators. The fleets were then evaluated using a scoring matrix covering a variety of categories, including total compensation, health benefits, performance management, professional development, and career path/advancement opportunities, among other criteria.

About Best Fleets to Drive For
Best Fleets to Drive For was launched in the summer of 2008 by CarriersEdge and Truckload Carriers Association and runs through the fall and winter each year. The program identifies trends, shares best practices, and publicly recognizes the for-hire carriers providing the best workplaces for their drivers.
Best Fleets to Drive For is open to any for-hire trucking company operating ten trucks or more in the US or Canada. Fleets do not have to be members of TCA to participate, and there’s no cost to participate. To be considered, fleets must be nominated by a driver or independent contractor currently working with them, then complete the evaluation process within prescribed timelines.
